The Blue Ridge Parkway is inviting all elementary aged home school students to the North Carolina Museum of Minerals (milepost 331) on Wednesday, April 18th, 2007.
As part of the Parks as Classroom Program, National Park Rangers will be assigned to the Minerals Museum that day to conduct educational programs for grades K-5.
The topics will include animal senses, habitats, life cycles, geography, and Native Americans of North Carolina, among others. The programs are free of charge and will last between 30 minutes and one hour. No reservations are necessary but if additional info is needed, see contact below.
