AWARDS : 

 

The local winner receives a $50 check.  The winner of NC East District of Optimist International receives a $650 scholarship.  The winner of the international competition wins a $6000 scholarship.

 

ELIGIBILITY :  Under age 19 as of 12-31-2006

 

TOPIC & LENGTH:

           

            "I want to make a difference because..." (400-500 words).

 

DEADLINE:   Must be received by Contest Chair by February 15, 2007
